About Mendoz Success Drywall and Painting
The work starts with a phone call. We ask where the job is, what you are seeing, and whether it is inside or outside. Then we set a time to come look. When we arrive, we walk the space with you, look at the problem areas, and check the things that affect the job: the height of the ceilings, the condition of the existing paint or drywall, and what is around the work area. We ask what you want the finished space to look like and whether you plan to stay in the house while we work. Then we give you a straight answer on what we would do and what it would take.
The work itself comes down to preparation and the right materials. For drywall, that means cutting out what is loose, making sure the backing is solid, and using setting-type compound for the first coats so it does not shrink. For paint, it means priming bare spots and stains before the color goes on, using a quality acrylic latex for most interior walls, and cutting in clean lines before rolling. What separates work that lasts from work that does not is the time spent on the prep and the patience to let each coat dry properly before the next one goes on.
Decorating done properly
When we work in your home, we treat it like we are working in our own. We lay down drop cloths to protect floors and furniture, and we tape off trim and fixtures before we start. We keep the work area contained so dust and paint do not travel through the house. We clean up at the end of each day, and when the job is done, we pick up the drop cloths, wipe down the areas we touched, and leave the space ready for you to use. We know you are living in the house while we are there, so we work around your schedule as best we can.
What You Get, Every Job
After the job is done, we do not disappear. If you have a question about the paint color, a spot that needs a touch-up, or anything else related to the work, you can call us and we will talk it through. We think of the people we work for as neighbors, not just customers. We want you to be able to look at the finished wall and be satisfied, and we want you to know that if something comes up later, we are still around. That is how we have always done business, one job at a time, one house at a time.
